Application

High tensile steel mesh is used to contain rock fall following rock scaling of a rock face. The mesh is held in position by a series of rock bolts and wire cables. Mesh is a very effective solution where infrastructure such as buildings, railways or roads are at the base of the slope and need protecting. 

Rock Solutions have developed many of the techniques that make mesh installation effective. We’d be happy to talk to you about specific client case studies.

Rock Solutions currently install two grades of mesh depending on the scale and volume of potential rockfall.

1. Geobrugg heavy weight retention systems
2. Macafferri standard weight retention systems

 

In addition we install soil erosion protection matting which can be used in conjunction with heavier steal mesh.
